Polaris 0451080 New Air Filter & Box 50cc 90cc Scrambler Sportsman Predator ATV
We had had a problem with these air boxes in the past with the rubber boot that goes on the carburetor being way too stiff and hard. So we got samples from all suppliers that make these air boxes and we found some were even too big and loose for a proper fit on the carburetor but we did find one supplier that had a proper boot for fitting the carburetor and they do not offer the snorkel as pictured in the first image. The new air box does not have a 6-inch snorkel it has a 2-inch snorkel which is fine because we figured nobody is driving these quads or scooters through the river anyways. By the time you have the airbox halfway submerged in water you’re potentially going to suck water in your engine. The soft carb boot is way more important in our experience. If you have an existing air box with a snorkel it is easy to transfer your existing snorkel to this new air box.
